Custom Made Fireball Globe Fire Pit
A fire pit is not just a source of warmth and light; it's a statement piece that can elevate your outdoor space to a whole new level. And what could be more unique than a custom-made fire pit that's tailored to your own style and preferences? At Burned by Design, we specialise in creating bespoke fire pits that are as individual as our clients, including this beautiful globe fireball. Having seen our Hunt Scene globe, they had ideas of their own.
The Inspiration: A Personal Touch
One of our clients came to us with a special request. They had seen our Hunt Scene Fire Globe in our shop and loved the design, but they wanted to make it more personal. They had a beloved dog and some pictures of them horse riding that they wanted to incorporate into the fire pit design. We were more than happy to oblige.
The Process: From Images to CAD Drawing
To create a custom-made fire pit, we start with a collection of images that represent our clients' favorite things. For this project, we used pictures of the client's dog and horse-riding scenes. These images were then transformed into a CAD drawing by our founder and head fabricator, Alex. The CAD drawing ensured that the images were suitable for precision laser cutting, which is how we created the intricate designs on this globe fire pit.
We used 3-4mm mild steel hemispheres to form the globe, which measured 560mm in diameter. The design was laser-cut into the steel, creating a silhouette of the dog and horse-riding scenes. The finished product was then coated in high-temperature clear lacquer to protect it from the elements.
The Result: A Unique Addition to the Client's Outdoor Space
The final product was a stunning fire pit that was truly one-of-a-kind. The client was thrilled with the result, and we were proud to have created a piece that was so personal and meaningful. The fire pit was not just a source of warmth and light, but a conversation starter that added a touch of personality to the client's outdoor space.
