The Rock Fire Pit

Here at Burned by Design, we specialise in creating custom-made fire pits that cater to the unique tastes of our clients. Recently, we had the opportunity to create a fire pit that celebrated some of the most iconic rock acts of all time. The fireball globe fire pit was designed for a client who wanted to surprise her fiancé with a gift that would perfectly reflect his love for rock music.

The Inspiration

It all started with a simple idea. Our client had a vision of a fire pit that would pay homage to some of her fiancé's favorite rock bands and musicians. Together, we brainstormed and came up with a design that would incorporate some of the most famous guitars used by the rock acts that he loved. We decided to use these guitars as stands for the fire pit's massive 700mm fire dish, which would be suspended in the air, creating a stunning visual effect.

The Design

Once we had the basic concept in place, we began to work on the intricate details of the design. Our client's fiancé is a huge fan of Jimi Hendrix, Damage Plan, and Pantera, so we decided together to focus on these iconic rock acts. We created a variety of precision laser-cut steel profiles relating to each of the artists, which we added to the fire pit to tie everything together.

The Construction

With the design finalised, it was time to get to work constructing the fire pit. Alex Dodson, the founder of Burned by Design, personally crafted the fireball globe fire pit by hand from mild steel. He paid close attention to every detail, ensuring that the finished product would be a perfect reflection of the client's vision. The end result was a stunning fire pit that combined the warmth of a roaring fire with the raw energy of rock music, and something we were delighted with.
